Artist Bio
Throughout my life I’ve consistently, compulsively, made art. I write and make visual art through a host of mediums including essay, mixed media, collage, photography, videography, short fiction, installation, painting, drawing, creative nonfiction and sculpture.
My artistic influences include Wassily Kandinsky, Gerhard Richter, Hilma af Klint, and Bruce Conner. Plato, Nietzsche, and Freud have had a significant impact on my subject matter. I studied philosophy at the New School for Social Research, where I received a concentration in psychoanalysis, a masters, and a phd. For 10 years I taught university courses in philosophy, argumentation, and writing. I have lived in NYC for 16 years. I’m currently working from my home in Brooklyn.
